Information for Transfer Out Students
Number of Transferring: 42% of our Fall 09-10 students were enrolled in transfer programs. We are currently working to specifically track where our students transfer to utilizing Student Tracker from the National Student Clearinghouse.
Transfer Agreements: We currently offer transfer agreements with 24 4-year postsecondary degree granting accredited institutions in Pennsylvania and New York in a variety of academic configurations.
Special Programs: Our Transfer Center does advising to help students select courses for a RACC associate’s degree as well as prepare students to transfer to a 4-year college. Each term we have a Transfer Fair with over 20 colleges attending. www.racc.edu/TransferCenter


Transfer Scholarships and Financial Aid
Students transferring to RACC are eligible for all state, federal, and some institutional scholarships or awards, if they meet the individual criteria for the respective financial aid category or award.

Transfer Application Requirements
Minimum GPA: For individual courses, grades of C or better generally required, but will consider courses with a D letter grade for students who have a cumulative 2.00 GPA or better upon transferring. Otherwise, there is no set GPA requirement for transferring to RACC
Official Transcripts: High School and or College Transcripts are required as part of the application process for all students since we are an open admissions policy institution. Additional information may be required from international students seeking admission
SAT Scores: SAT/ACT scores are not needed to apply to RACC for those wishing to transfer to RACC, because of the open admissions policy.
Letters of Recommendation: None Required
Essay: None Required
Application Fee: None
Interview: Is required for certain programs such as: ADN, Medical Lab Technician, Culinary Arts, LPN,Respiratory Care
Other Requirements: Placement tests may be required of those seeking transfer to RACC, depending on credits or courses completed. Foreign students must satisfy all state and federal guidelines for study abroad. contact intern'l advisor for more information.

Transfer Credit Policy
Minimum Grade: Course by course variation, some require C or better, but D is acceptable for those with an overall 2.00 GPA or better on a 4 point grading system.
Credits (Min/Max): Maximum accepted for transfer in is 45 credits, including: general education and program specific courses , and CLEP, military, or life experience credit. Students transferring in must complete 1/4 of program credits at RACC.
