Transfer In Students
Accepts Transfers: Cheyney accepts transfer students for fall, spring and summer terms
Transfer Applications Received: From fall 2007 to spring 2008, Cheyney received 279 transfer applications.
Transfer Applications Accepted: From fall 2007 to spring 2008, Cheyney accepted 190 transfer students.
Percentage Accepted: From fall 2007 to spring 2008, Cheyney accepted 68% of the students who applied.
Transfer Applicants Enrolled: From fall 2007 to spring 2008, 48% of transfer students accepted by Cheyney registered.


Transfer Scholarships and Financial Aid
To be considered for state and federal grants and loans as well as scholarships, students must complete and submit a FAFSA form at fafsa.ed.gov. Be sure to identify Cheyney University's Title IV school code (003317) on the form. Note: future loan disbursem

Transfer Application Requirements
Minimum GPA: The minimum gpa for transfering to Cheyney is 2.0.
Official Transcripts: Submit official transcripts of all institutions attended since high school.
SAT Scores: Transfer students who have completed at least 12 college credits are not required to take the SAT or ACT standardized tests.
Letters of Recommendation: Two letters of support are reccomended, but not required.
Essay: No essay is required.
Application Fee: Submit a completed undergraduate admission application to the Office of Admissions along with a non-refundable $20 application fee (money order or cashier's check).
Interview: There is no formal interview, but prospective students are expected to meet with an admission counselor, prior to admission. This meeting can either take place on campus or at one of our off-campus open houses.

Transfer Credit Policy
Minimum Grade: Credits are transferable but grades are not. Credits will transfer only if the student has earned a “C” or better on a scale of A-F and based on the grading scale of the institution issuing the transcript.
Credits (Min/Max): The minimum is 6 credits, but student will need to take the SAT.
